Walter Thompson, has been named chairman of its advisory board. In 1996 Manning became the first advertising professional elected to the National Sales and Marketing Hall of Fame. Three years later he was inducted into the AAF Advertising Hall of Fame, making him the first ever to be honored by both groups.
