Support Young Artists, Attend Seattle Opera BRAVO! Club's Winter Ball and Auction
Fundraiser at Teatro ZinZanni with Dancing, DJs, Live Performances, and More (Mon, Jan 31.)
SEATTLE, Jan. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seattle Opera BRAVO! Club invites young Seattleites to Teatro ZinZanni for an evening of live performance, dancing, delicious food, and a chance to bid on exciting items at the Winter Ball and Auction on Monday, January 31. Proceeds will benefit the Seattle Opera's Young Artists Program (YAP), where professional singers, like bass-baritone Adrian Rosas, receive career guidance and study. As part of his YAP training, the 27-year-old Juilliard graduate made his Seattle Opera debut in The Barber of Seville as the Sergeant.
The BRAVO! Club Winter Ball and Auction will feature a brief YAP performance. The fundraising event will also include local DJs spinning the latest dance club music, and exquisite food and wine from Teatro ZinZanni. Silent auction items will include, but are not limited to: a Wine Tasting Package from the Tasting Room; a Four Seasons Bed and Breakfast Package; Urban Cooking Lessons from Diane's Market Kitchen; a Dining Package for Seastar, John Howie Steak, and Adriatic Grill; a Spa Scotta Gift Card, a Big Picture Gift Certificate, and a Seattle Theater Sampler with tickets to ACT, the Seattle Repertory Theater, the Intiman Theater, and the Paramount.
"The BRAVO! Club's Winter Ball and Auction is perfect for people who want to dance, listen to great music, drink fine wine, and support the next generation of opera performers," said Club President Andrea Bettger. "It's our club's most popular event. If you've never attended a BRAVO! event, the Winter Ball and Auction is a great way to start." With more than 600 members, BRAVO! is Seattle's premier arts group for young people, and is one of the largest organizations of its kind nationwide. The Seattle Opera affiliate group is passionate about creating a community for people in their 20s and 30s.
