Dreyfuss recently hosted a "National Conversation" with Democratic and Republican organizations in California, calling for more online democracy and political engagement. He will discuss the kickoff of "The Dreyfuss Initiative." He is also a board member of Vote iQ (www.voteiq.com) - a political education site with daily hot topics and news feeds.
Dreyfuss will discuss today's political conversation, and offer challenges for journalists to be "the real Fourth Estate" of government. While civics education starts in the schools, Dreyfuss said the press has a duty to inform in context and in more logical ways. Dreyfuss studied political science at Oxford's St. Andrew's college, and is urging more formal debate, which he says can bring some order to Congress.
