NEW YORK, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In his one-hour World Television Premiere special, Billy Gardell give viewers a hilarious glimpse of mid-life in "Billy Gardell: Halftime," debuting Saturday, February 5 at 9:00 p.m.

From his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, Gardell, star of the hit sitcom "Mike and Molly," takes his comedy to the Byham Theater stage as he rants about modern life - everything from new medicine and hand sanitizers to the rules of marriage, parenting and technology overload. No teleprompter here, just a microphone and his thoughts.

Prior to landing his starring roll of Officer Mike Biggs in new CBS hit comedy "Mike & Molly," Gardell's ride to fame wasn't the average Hollywood success story. He started early in stand up, headlining some clubs before he was legal at the door. Gardell took the long road, stopping at every small town honky-tonk, military base and comedy club along the way. As every comic quickly learns, all those years of toiling in the clubs to become a great comic doesn't mean a thing in Hollywood. But before long, Gardell built quite an impressive acting resume for himself with regular guest appearances on "My Name is Earl," "The Practice," "Yes Dear," "Monk," "Judging Amy" and "Desperate Housewives," as well as a co-starring role in the critically-acclaimed FX series, "Lucky." On the big screen, Gardell made his film debut alongside Anthony Quinn and Sylvester Stallone in "Avenging Angelo" and afterwards scored a rather memorable scene with Billy Bob Thornton in the Cohen Brother's "Bad Santa."
