10 Winners from American Express' Members Project Sweepstakes Win Trip to Series' Production Studios to Help Disadvantaged Youth

NEW YORK, December 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Critically acclaimed, award-winning hit television series GLEE has partnered with Members Project® from American Express on a new, first-of-its-kind campaign that provides fans with a passion for giving back an opportunity to take small steps to make a big difference. As part of this campaign, American Express created the Members Project Sweepstakes, which provided 10 lucky winners and their guests a trip to Los Angeles for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a special charity event alongside members of the GLEE cast.

The volunteer event took place at the home of GLEE on the Paramount lot where the 10 winners, their guests, and the cast members of GLEE made musical instruments with children from a disadvantaged Los Angeles elementary school. The event benefited Education Through Music, a non-profit organization that promotes the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and general development. The elementary school students got the chance to perform two musical numbers for the cast of GLEE and volunteers.

In addition, Education Through Music was awarded a $100,000 check on behalf of American Express to continue to impact children in a positive way.
