This month the Fox Theatre will feature Nils Lofgren, guitarist for Bruce Springsteen and lifelong member of the E Street band. Ticket prices range from $15 to $75. Heavy metal phenomenon GWAR will appear at the Rialto with tickets priced at $23. The rest of 2nd Saturdays events are free and many merchants, clubs and restaurants will be offering special discounts to 2nd Saturday patrons.

Appearing on the free Scott Stage are Silverbell, The Railbirdz and Michael P's Big Band. The 2nd Saturdays Scott Avenue Stage has become Tucson's most popular outdoor venue for previewing popular as well as up and coming local acts.

The Indian Village Trading Post lot will again feature a walk up outdoor movie, a rock band video contest and bungee jumping, along with a picnic area for patrons tired of strolling the event.

Janos Wilder's new restaurant, Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails, on Sixth Avenue south of Broadway will be open for the first time offering live music, 2nd Saturday discounts and a late night happy hour. New customer service representatives will be positioned around downtown to help people find parking, avoid tow away zones and identify scheduled events.

Downtown Tucson has become a little boom town of construction with the new Unisource headquarters, the Providence Corporation remodeled block, the restored Roy Place Building (last used as a Walgreen's), along with the openings of Janos Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails, Scott and Co lounge, Empire Pizza, a new (yet opened) Monkey Burger, The Titanic Exhibit, developing lofts and restaurants on the east end, a new multi use development at Toole and Broadway and a new Thai restaurant on the west end.

"No one can call Downtown Tucson a ghost town any longer," said Fletcher McCusker, Chairman of 2nd Saturdays and CEO of Providence Service Corp. "It's hip, exciting and rapidly becoming a destination for locals and visitors alike."

Sponsors of 2nd Saturdays include: Providence, Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, KXCI Radio, Zocolo Magazine, Jim Click Automotive and Bourn Properties. For further information, a full schedule and a map of the event please visit www.2ndsaturdays.com.
