Lord & Taylor unveiled its annual Christmas Windows on
November 15th, 2010 with performances by Emmy and Tony
award-winner Kristin Chenoweth and the Young People's
Chorus of New York City along Fifth Avenue. For the first
time ever, the company live-streamed the event online
which allowed anyone to watch the festivities live. A
video of highlights from the event was created and is

EVENT: throughout the holiday season.

With the theme "Share the Joy," Lord & Taylor's mechanical
holiday windows featured a series of 12 Christmas scenes
set in NYC and inspired by favorite stories and memories
BACKGROUND: that customers shared with the store.

Prior to the unveiling, the Young People's Chorus of NYC
performed "Share the Joy," a holiday song composed
exclusively for Lord & Taylor. Simultaneously, most Lord &
Taylor stores throughout the chain hosted local student
choral groups that performed the special song across nine
states. Each performance was recorded and videos will be
posted on the site for viewing throughout the holiday
season.

On November 15th, the Fifth Avenue store hosted "Charity
Day," which raised over $25,000 for the American Red Cross
in Greater New York, a non-profit organization that helps
people prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters.
Customers who made a $5 donation to the charity received a
20% off single-item coupon as well as 15% savings
throughout the day. The store also supported the
charity's preparedness mission with a drive to collect
vital disaster supply items from customers that belong in
everyone's emergency "Go-Bag."
