Rentrak's Advanced Media and Information Division Adds Additional Strength to Its Sales and Management Team
PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ:RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising and entertainment industries, today announced the appointment of Evan Goldfarb as senior vice president of Agency Sales for the company's Advanced Media and Information (AMI) division. Mr. Goldfarb will be responsible for growing the company's advertising agency client base and will report to the division president, Cathy Hetzel.
Most recently, Mr. Goldfarb was vice president of sales for a division of Merkle Inc., a company that provides the framework for organizations to apply database marketing strategies to their marketing programs. Mr. Goldfarb led business development for emerging product lines.
Prior to his work with Merkle, Mr. Goldfarb was executive vice president of Simmons Market Research, where he led a major industry effort for the company by generating new business growth through new syndicated research products. Mr. Goldfarb negotiated and closed multi-million dollar contracts with major media and agency accounts. After Simmons' acquisition by Experian, Mr. Goldfarb remained at Experian as Vice President of Sales at Experian Marketing Services, where he led the integration of many Experian business units into a single sales organization with more than 120 employees and $350 million in sales. Mr. Goldfarb has over 20 years of experience and relationships with the business leaders in the media and agency communities.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Goldfarb held various leadership roles at Scarborough Research/VNU (now the Nielsen Company).
