New Nationally Syndicated TV Show Makes a Splash

New Nationally Syndicated TV Show Makes a Splash

M@dAbout is running in 85 percent of TV markets

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The new TV show M@dAbout began airing across the US last week and was available in over 85 percent of all TV viewing markets. Since its initial airing on September 6th, M@dAbout has received an overwhelming amount of positive responses from viewers.

"We didn't know what to expect, but we knew we had a great product with the show," said Ward Eames, creator and executive producer of M@dAbout. "The TV show has been so well-received, we're very confident about the success of the next phase of M@dAbout -- the live tour."

The live tour complements the 22 episodes of the M@dAbout TV program. Live performances will debut in Los Angeles schools beginning Monday, September 20 and features two cast members who perform improv sketch comedy for students to convey key life lessons. These live performances are a staple of The National Theatre for Children's programming, which has performed in over one million schools nationwide for over 30 years.

Since the initial airing of the M@dAbout TV show, web traffic to http://www.madabout.tv/ has increased by nearly 300 hits per day. The Facebook fan page for M@dAbout has quickly jumped to over 650 "likes."

M@dAbout offers a multi-platform marketing opportunity that includes national live in-school performances, printed curriculum components, and a syndicated website along with the weekly syndicated television show. A preview live tour - in concert with the premiere episodes of the new series - will take place in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City between September 20 and October 8.

This show is the brainchild of Minneapolis-based The National Theatre for Children (NTC) as a way to communicate real-life lessons to the tween and teen markets in a fun way. A true educational and informative (E/I) series, each TV episode relies on a small company of skilled comedic actors to explore significant topics within a subject area. It incorporates comic monologues, sketch and improv comedy, eye-catching animation, original music, and humorous "man on the street" interviews about life's issues.
