Ebru TV Honored With Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award
SOMERSET, N.J., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards ceremony took place on September 25 at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The event annually recognizes outstanding achievements in television and related fields.
This year, Ebru TV's shows dominated the Graphics Art/Animation Category nominations. This was an unusual event in Emmy's nomination history since all three nominees, Blank Canvas, Soul Survivors and Rhythm & Roots are shows produced by Everest Productions and aired exclusively at Ebru TV. The Emmy was awarded to Ayhan Cebe for the show open for Rhythm and Roots, a folk music program, featuring talented musicians bridging the gap between traditional musical roots and modern rhythms.
"I am very honored to win this award. Designing a show-open to introduce a folk-music show was at first intimidating," explains Ayhan Cebe. "It was challenging to come up with a concept that reflected the tone of the show, and tell a convincing story in under 30 seconds!" Cebe explains that in the architecture of a show open, every intricate detail becomes very significant. Towards this, he also credits his team of talented artists and animators and Antfood Inc. for their successful music scores and sound design for all of the nominated show opens.
Earlier this year, Ayhan Cebe was also nominated for the prestigious PromaxBDA Design Awards which recognizes excellence in Marketing, Design and Creative content in the entertainment industry. Cebe's show open for Blank Canvas produced by Everest Productions was nominated in the outstanding Show Open Titles category and his show open for Soul Survivors, also produced by Everest Productions was nominated in the Art Directing category. Although he didn't bag any awards, Cebe expressed that he was very proud and happy to even be nominated in the national category with bigger players, and the best networks in the industry.
On how he felt being the sole nominee in an entire category of Emmy awards, Cebe laughed and remarked, "I am truly humbled. I can't believe I get paid and recognized for something I love to do!"
