Premiere Episode of 'Southern Stories with Kathy Andrews' Reports on Land Loss Among African-Americans in the Coastal Regions of South Carolina

FLORENCE, S.C., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- K&S Communications debuts a new locally produced newsmagazine, "Southern Stories with Kathy Andrews." The show will air on Saturday, August 21 at 8:00pm, and be rebroadcast on Sunday mornings at 6:00am. The program will feature travel pieces, human interest stories and investigative segments.
The premiere episode will report on the loss of land among African-Americans in Charleston and on Hilton Head and will include interviews with US Congressman/Democratic Whip James Clyburn and Former Director of the Penn Center on Native Islands. Other episodes will report on serial killers in South Carolina and a recurring segment, "Beating the Odds," which will focus on one particular business during each episode and report on how they manage to stay afloat during the recession.
K&S Communications Founding Partner Kathy Andrews will produce and host "Southern Stories" locally and looks forward to national syndication soon. Andrews is the former producer and host of nationally televised "Screen Scene" on BET and bureau chief with South Carolina ETV. She has cofounded K&S Communications with Sean P. Nichols of Washington, DC.
