Dan Cimoroni Appointed Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium
TORONTO, August 24, 2010/PRNewswire/ -- Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium announced today that Dan
Cimoroni has been appointed Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing,
effective immediately. Cimoroni reports to Adam Ashton, who was named
President of the Consortium today.
In the newly-created role of Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing,
Cimoroni, 41, is responsible for all revenue, marketing, partnerships and
business development for the Consortium's London 2012 efforts.
"Dan's strategic approach, entrepreneurial instinct and industry
relationships were key to negotiating and securing the major sponsorship
deals for Vancouver 2010," said Ashton. "With less than two years to go, Dan
will take the lessons we learned in Vancouver and build upon them for
London."

Previously, Cimoroni was Vice-President, Business Development for the
Consortium where he was responsible for creating new business opportunities
for non-traditional media vehicles at Vancouver 2010. Cimoroni's efforts
focused on CTV's direct-to-consumer sales (including merchandise and
commemorative DVD sales), Olympic Celebrations, live feeds, theatres, and
other non-traditional assets. He also managed incremental sales and
promotional opportunities with new and existing clients.
Prior to joining the Consortium, Cimoroni was Vice-President, Sports and
Management at Insight Sports Ltd. Cimoroni also worked at IMG for seven years
in a variety of roles, including Vice-President at IMG Golf. Throughout his
tenure at IMG, Cimoroni also led the athlete representation group that
included Olympic stars Curt Harnett, Marnie McBean, Simon Whitfield, Cassie
Campbell and Brian Stemmle.
