Audrey Genevieve Holland and the Make-A-Wish Foundation® Bring the Heart Back to Hollywood

Award-winning director teams up with Make-A-Wish Foundation to create an unforgettable wish experience at the Teen Choice Awards

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Film Director Audrey Genevieve Holland is set to attend this year's Teen Choice Awards -- but she's not going alone. No, she's not bringing the latest Hollywood Heartthrob. Instead Holland and the Make-A-Wish Foundation have collaborated to make one girl's wish come true. Allison, 14, from Raleigh, North Carolina, will be joining Holland at Sunday's taping of the 2010 Teen Choice Awards. Diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (formerly known as "preleukemia"), her wish is to rub elbows with the stars on the red carpet.

"I've always admired The Walt Disney Company's charitable work and then watching Pete Wentz, Lady Gaga, and their numerous contributions to the global community convinced me that a single person can make a difference," says Holland. "I wanted to be a part of the long tradition of Hollywood figures giving back and I chose to do that by supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation."

Recently spotted at Grammy Award Winning Artist Ludacris' 2010 BET Awards Black Carpet Post-Party, Audrey Genevieve Holland has been creating buzz as a young, fashion-conscious, creative visionary. Her animation film, "The Snow Princess," has played in over 25 film festivals worldwide including Cannes Short Film Corner, L.A. Shorts Fest, and last month's Revelation Perth International Film Festival. Holland's other credits include DreamWorks Animation SKG with work on some of the top feature films such as Kung Fu Panda, Coraline, and last spring's How To Train Your Dragon.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world. With the help of generous donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes and has granted more than 195,000 wishes.
