Town of Frisco Jams During Music on Main Event

Booker T , Subdudes, and Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights to perform during free music festival on Aug. 14, 2010

FRISCO, Colo., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Town of Frisco, Main Street to the Rockies, sits at an elevation of 9,097 feet, almost twice as high as the Mile High City. At 9,097 feet, the air is thinner, the weather is cooler, and the music is free. What better way to spend a late summer evening? Join the Town of Frisco and nationally known acts for the 20th Annual Music on Main event on Aug. 14, 2010.

Skip the pricey music festivals in Denver and mark your calendar for an evening of free live performances, including Grammy Winner Booker T, who will headline the show. Booker T was a Rock n' Roll Hall of Famer and has played with top artists such as Neil Young and Bill Withers. His latest work is with the Drive By Truckers, who toured with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers this year.

The night of live music begins at 4 p.m. with Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights and continues with New Orleans blues band the Subdudes, famous for its blend of drifters songs and its 2004 chart topper "Miracle Mule."

The evening is non-stop free music on Frisco's historic Main Street, starting at 4 p.m.:

-- 4:00 p.m. - Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights (Madison Ave. Main
Stage)
-- 5:30 p.m. - Subdudes (Madison Ave. Main Stage)
-- 7:45 p.m. - Booker T (Madison Ave. Main Stage)

Coors Light and Blue Moon will be selling refreshments for thirsty concert goers. If you're hungry, grab a bite from one of the various food vendors set up right on Main Street. A portion of the proceeds from food and beverage sales will benefit the Advocates for Victims of Assault and the Family Intercultural Resource Center.

Just a friendly reminder, please no pets. Ride your bike and get the best parking!
