Zander Lurie Named Senior Vice President, Strategic Development, CBS Corporation

Current EVP and CFO of CBS Interactive to Assume Broader Corporate Strategic Planning Responsibilities

NEW YORK, April 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CBS Corporation announced today that Zander Lurie has been named Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, CBS Corporation. In this new role, Lurie will have strategic planning responsibilities across the Company. He will serve at the center of CBS's next-generation content initiatives, including oversight of the Company's efforts to explore authentication and other new, additive methods of distribution and monetization.

Lurie has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CBS Interactive since CBS acquired CNET Networks in June 2008; he will continue in that capacity as the Company looks to name a successor while maintaining his role overseeing business development at CBS Interactive. As Senior Vice President, Strategic Development, Lurie will report to Joseph Ianniello, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, CBS Corporation.

"At its core, CBS is an extremely strong content company, and the future of how we distribute that content is among this Company's biggest opportunities," said Leslie Moonves, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Corporation. "Zander is uniquely qualified to work at the intersection of so many crucial initiatives across CBS and play a key role in our many relationships outside of the Company as well. He was one of the great assets we picked up when we acquired CNET and I look forward to working with him even more closely now as we capitalize on all of the emerging platforms and business models that are on the horizon."

"Growing the revenues we derive from premium video is an integral part of our current strategy, and it will only grow in importance in the future," said Ianniello. "Zander will be at the nexus of our efforts to seek additive methods of distribution for all content. I look forward to the many contributions he will make in this regard."

As Chief Financial Officer of CBS Interactive, Lurie is responsible for the division's financial operations and business development initiatives. Working with CBS Interactive President Neil Ashe, he was instrumental in the successful integration of CNET Networks into CBS Corporation. Prior to the acquisition of CNET Networks by CBS Corporation, Lurie was Chief Financial Officer at CNET Networks, where he also led strategic partnerships and corporate development. Lurie joined CNET Networks in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development.

Prior to CNET Networks, Lurie spent seven years at JPMorgan in New York and San Francisco, where he led the firm's equity and mergers and acquisitions efforts in the Internet sector.

In 2001, Lurie co-founded CoachArt, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization that provides free coaching and teaching lessons in arts and athletics to over 1,000 underprivileged children suffering with chronic illnesses. Lurie currently serves as Chairman of CoachArt's board of directors. He also sits on the boards of directors of SurveyMonkey, TargetSpot and Pacific Community Ventures. Lurie holds a law degree and an MBA from Emory University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington.
