'The Digital Home Theater Experience' Event Brings Digital Entertainment of the Future to San Francisco
Hosted by brite-View(TM), Hannspree, PlayOn(TM) and AMIMON, the April 24 Event Will Highlight the Latest in Internet Entertainment for the Home Theater
SAN FRANCISCO, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- What do Hannspree, brite-View, MediaMall's PlayOn(TM) and AMIMON's WHDI technology have in common? They are all striving to integrate digital entertainment from the Internet or your computer with the television in your home. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 24, 2010, these partners will create "The Digital Home Theater Experience" at Hannspree's flagship store in San Francisco's Union Square, showcasing a modern living room with the latest technology.
All brite-View(TM) products are HDTV and networking centric, enabling users to enjoy Internet and digital entertainment on HDTVs. Hannspree is known for their quirky but quality, design-centric LCD televisions and displays. These complementary brands epitomize the vision of bringing innovative, high-quality entertainment technology into the living rooms of media consumers, at a reasonable price. "The Digital Home Theater Experience" event will be a great opportunity to see the technology in action.
brite-View(TM) CinemaTube, a DLNA-compliant media streamer, works well with PlayOn(TM), a media server software product installed on the PC. On the TV, users can enjoy digital content stored on a local hard drive or networked computer, and also explore popular Internet entertainment sources such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and Pandora.
"PlayOn(TM) is getting more people off their PC's and into their living rooms every day. Through our partnership with brite-View(TM) we can reach even more people," remarked MediaMall CEO Jeff Lawrence. "The CinemaTube works flawlessly with PlayOn(TM) and provides a TV viewing experience that will surprise many brite-View(TM) customers. People will be able to find most anything they typically watch on broadcast or cable TV by using this powerful combination of technologies."
Videophiles can always hook up a networked computer directly to the TV, but wired installation, and keeping the wireless mouse and keyboard on the coffee table won't win any Wife Acceptance Factor points. brite-View(TM) answers the need for seamless integration with the latest PC-to-TV wireless transmission technology, featuring AMIMON's WHDI chip.
"Computers are a major source for multimedia entertainment. With AMIMON's technology, the basis of the WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) standard, consumers can now wirelessly connect their PCs to their TVs in full HD," said Noam Geri, vice president of marketing and business development for AMIMON. "WHDI has no noticeable latency, enabling seamless PC-to-TV interaction and allowing consumers to enjoy all PC applications on their TV, including gaming."
"The Digital Home Theater Experience" is a free event. brite-View(TM) will display the CinemaTube media player, Air HD Wireless Video Transmission Kit and the LinkE powerline Ethernet adapters. brite-View(TM) will also unveil the CinemaGo, a new portable media player with e-SATA interface and WiFi package, as well as the full-HD 1080p Multi-room Wireless Video Transmission Kit and the PC-to-TV wireless video/audio transmission kit. Door prizes include five 200Mbps LinkE Powerline Adapter Kits ($129.99 retail value each) and five CinemaTube media players with PlayOn software ($169.99 retail value each).
"We want people to visualize an affordable digital living room where one can taste sweet digital media freedom," said Robert Lo, CEO of brite-View(TM). "In true brite-View fashion, our latest media solutions are very affordable and approachable."
