ChromeLive! Presented by RVCA Adds Another National Act to Annual Event

"Style Your Sole" TOMS Charity Event to Be Biggest Yet for Nation

LUBBOCK, Texas, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- With all the national limelight on the ChromeLive! Music Festival, and its TOMS shoes "Style Your Sole" charity, nationally recognized Indie-rocker and former pro-skateboarder Matt Costa has joined the band lineup to play at its Saturday, April 24 event.

Costa will join Austin City Limits golden boy and Indie-rock legend Ben Kweller. Kweller will headline the day-long event with his highly anticipated first appearance in Lubbock. Also performing will be South by Southwest (SxSW) rockers The Orbans of Ft. Worth, and Lubbock's own Thriftstore Cowboys, Spivey and Estelline.

"For years now I've been visiting El Paso, Austin, Houston and Dallas on tour but have never made it up to Lubbock, so I'm excited," Costa said. "I'll finally get to see the birthplace of Buddy Holly and play a show with Ben Kweller."

Stephen Spiegelberg, owner of Chrome, a contemporary fashion-forward retail store that offers hard-to-find designer labels in categories that include apparel, footwear, and apothecary, said he's glad to announce the addition of other national sponsors just three days prior to the day-long event.

"Because of all of the national attention on our socially conscious event, RVCA has purchased the naming rights for the ChromeLive! event," he said. "We anticipate this being a huge event and we're so excited to announce the addition of Matt Costa to the lineup as well as RVCA as our title sponsor." Spiegelberg said that also added to national sponsorships are Nixon, Project 7, Ron Robinson Inc., Dolce Vita Footwear, Red Raider Outfitter, COR Silver, Phyto, and f2-design.com.

RVCA is a well-known lifestyle brand based in Costa Mesa, California. Pronounced "Ruca," the company is widely recognized in the designer community throughout the United States. It has served as platform for creative inspiration by combining art, music and fashion in a modern lifestyle. The company is plugged into the public consciousness and sponsor icons like Makua Rothman (pro surfer), Austin Stephens (skater), Jack Johnson (music), and Alex Kopps (artist). RVCA has agreed to a two-year deal supporting Chrome's annual ChromeLive! music festival.

"We do this festival every year to give back globally and locally," Spiegelberg said. "And, ultimately, we are able to give to those who are in need around the nation and the world through the sale of shoes and TOMS 'one for one movement.'"

ChromeLive! Music Festival and its TOMS "Style Your Sole" event is one of the nation's largest, according to Blake Mycoskie, owner and Chief Shoe Giver at TOMS.

Chrome will produce a music-filled day taking place in the store's parking lot, located at 2601 19th Street in Lubbock. Tickets are $10 per person, or free if individuals pre-purchase a pair of TOMS canvas shoes at Chrome or at http://www.shopchrome.com/.

Tickets are available at all select-a-seat outlets in Lubbock and online. TOMS shoes also will be available for purchase at the event, and for each pair purchased, TOMS shoes will donate a second pair to children in need of shoes. Last year's event gave nearly 1,000 new pairs of TOMS to those in need. For more information, please visit http://www.shopchrome.com/ or Facebook at ChromeLive!
