T.J. Martell Foundation to Honor the Jonas Brothers and Their Management at the 11th Annual Family Day Event
Annual Fundraising Event To Be Held At Roseland Ballroom In New York City On April 18th
NEW YORK, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The T.J. Martell Foundation announced today that it will honor the Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum selling music artists, Jonas Brothers, along with their management at the 11th Annual T.J. Martell Foundation Family Day fundraising event. The celebration will be held on Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at the legendary Roseland Ballroom, located at 239 West 52nd Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue), in New York City and will feature an exclusive live performance by the Jonas Brothers!
Family Day brings families together for a spectacular day full of fun and safe indoor games and carnival activities to raise money for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research with a who's who of music and entertainment executives in attendance. In addition to the fun and games, Family Day will also host a silent auction which will feature amazing, one-of-a-kind celebrity auction items. Family Day has steadily grown into one of the Martell Foundation's most successful events and has raised over $2.6 million since its inception.
This year's Family Day will honor the incredibly popular music artists, Jonas Brothers, and their management teams at the Jonas Group and Wright Entertainment Group for their unyielding efforts helping children's causes around the world. Part of their efforts include The Change for the Children Foundation that works to raise awareness and funds to fight diseases such as diabetes, encourages youth to participate in volunteerism to give back to their local communities and promotes tolerance and acceptance by supporting the Special Olympics.
According to Marcus Peterzell, Family Day Chairman and last year's co-honoree, "When we decided that for the first time we would honor an artist and their management team, our dream choice was The Jonas Brothers as they tied into our Family theme and have given so much back to worthwhile causes, this was a true grand slam for the foundation."
"We couldn't be more honored to be part of this year's Family Day event for the T.J. Martell Foundation," says Joe Jonas. "It's incredibly important to us that we do everything possible to raise money and awareness that will help children and families who suffer from leukemia, cancer and AIDS."
"The Jonas Brothers performed at our Family Day in 2006, and it is so generous of them to come back and support our cause now that they are international stars. The world is a better place thanks to people like them who are eager to help others in need," raves Tony Martell, Founder & Chairman of the T.J. Martell Foundation.
