Entrepreneur, Rapper Won-G Travels to Haiti on Relief Mission

Won-G's Foundation, One Dome at a Time, Teams Up with ACTS World Relief to Offer Haitians Emergency Help

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Downloadable video, stills and press materials available at: http://www.mnrwire.com/mnrs-wonghaiti.

Haitian-born entrepreneur and recording artist Won-G has been working to raise awareness of the situation in Haiti with constant interviews since the earthquake and has now made the difficult trip home on Monday, January 18th, to assist in every way possible. He traveled with 100 medical personnel including 60 physicians and 7 surgeons, 40% of whom speak Creole. They brought with them hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical supplies for much needed relief. Won-G was also accompanied by a team of experts to evaluate and create a plan of action for a continued medical and rebuilding effort. While there Won-G will be giving aid, meeting with Government officials, evaluating the current situation and reporting to the world.

Won-G describes his trip before taking off, "I'm going into Haiti to do the best that I can. God has called my soul to do his work. There are people without medical help, there are people still being pulled from the rubble, we have had so many requests and with a strong team of volunteers we will restore hope."

Won-G's One Dome at a Time foundation has teamed up with ACTS World Relief to give Haiti emergency relief. David Canther, President and Founder of ACTS, has pledged to assist Won-G to "rebuild and restore Haiti for a period of years" with his purely volunteer based organization currently 60,000 strong. Canther believes that the most important part of being a success during a relief mission is building a strong team.

Won-G has been spearheading efforts to help his native country for years. He has met with Former Haitian Prime Minister Michelle Duvivier and Chief of Economics Dr Jean Paleme Mathurin and has been planning a "dome" building project since last year.

About One Dome at a Time

One Dome at a Time (ODAAT) is a Joint venture between Won-G and Monolithic Inc. Its mission is to build green and clean "dome" housing, which is resistant to natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes and fires, and qualifies as "Near-Absolute Protection" as defined by FEMA. The patented dome building method uses less materials to build, less energy to heat and cool, can be built by local labor and last for hundreds of years. The organization is committed to preserving family and local traditions while supporting education and economic growth in the communities they serve. Recording artist Akon supports ODAAT and looks forward to traveling to Haiti as well as building domes in his country Senegal. To donate, go to http://onedomeatatime.org/
