National Economic Council Deputy Director Diana Farrell Featured on Azteca America's 'Issues: Caras y Voces'

WASHINGTON, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America television network is proud to feature National Economic Council Deputy Director Diana Farrell on this week's broadcast of "Issues: Caras y Voces," hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzman.

Named last year to serve under Lawrence Summers on the National Economic Council, Diana Farrell was born in Colombia and educated in the United States, including undergraduate studies at Wesleyan and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Prior to her appointment at the NEC, she was Director of the McKinsey Global Institute and has also worked at Goldman, Sachs & Company. Ms. Farrell is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bretton Woods Committee, and the Pacific Council on International Policy.

During the interview, she speaks about initiatives by the Obama Administration to improve transportation infrastructure, modernize the energy industry and stimulate small businesses.

In reference to small businesses, she says "The most important thing right now is that they add jobs." She also comments on the consumer stimulus programs by the Obama administration, including the recent proposal for homeowners to improve energy efficiency.
