Miami Boutique Hotels Expand 'Preferred Card' Program And Promote Destination's Film Festivals

Exclusive Promotions, and Discounts Introduced at Sundance Film Festival

MIAMI, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Greater Miami and The Beaches is rolling out the red carpet for the film industry, expanding its Miami Boutique Hotels (MBH) Preferred Card incentive program and promoting the destination's wide array of film festivals. The efforts are underway today during The Sundance Film Festival where attendees will be introduced to exclusive deals at many of the destination's chic and stylish boutique hotel properties.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) will launch the extension of the promotion at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, January 22 - 23, giving consumers as well as the film industry, the opportunity to sign up for the MBH Preferred Card during the festival. A Miami street team will be in full force distributing a 128-page directory of Miami's boutique hotels, as well as instructions on how to enter to win an all-expense paid trip to Greater Miami and The Beaches. Festival attendees enter the contest by becoming a fan on the MBH Facebook page and will receive an all expense paid trip to Miami with accommodations provided by the chic boutique hotel property - The Claridge Hotel.

Miami's boutique hotels are among the favorites of the film, fashion, music, design and art worlds, due to their distinctive architecture, cutting-edge design and imaginative public spaces. "Miami has the largest concentration of boutique hotels in the world," said William Talbert III, CDME, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. "With the MBH Preferred card, festival attendees can enjoy world-class accommodations at our boutique hotels with the benefit of added value and incentives."

The iconic properties are used extensively for film locations and photo shoots, as well as for accommodations for directors, producers and talent. "Miami and the Beaches has never been hotter as a destination for filming," said Jeff Peel, Director of The Miami-Dade County Film Office. "We offer great locations, ideal weather, a wealth of professional crews and services, state-of-the-art production facilities and a proven track record as a film-friendly community."

The film industry also flocks to Miami throughout the year to attend the destination's many film festivals.
