A8 Music 'Fourth Original Music Contest Award Ceremony' Successfully Concluded in Beijing

First Best Original Song from Hong Kong Honored

HONG KONG, Dec. 30 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- A8 Digital Music Holdings Limited ("A8 Music" or "the Group") (Stock code: 00800.HK) presented the "Fourth Original Music Contest Award Ceremony" in Beijing.

The event was co-organized with "Music Assembly" of Yunnan Satellite TV and hosted by Hu Gua, Ye Yiqian and Ma Song, and with famed Taiwan lyricist Fang Wenshan as Chairman of the judging panel. Winners among famous original music artists are Gary Cao, Li Quan, Tanya Chua, Hu Yanbin, Chen Chusheng, etc. and also singers of the top 10 songs of the Fourth Original Music Contest.

Over the six-month contest period, more than 10,000 entries were received. After collecting votes of more than a million people online and screening by the judging panel, the top 10 songs and winners of different awards including Favorite of the Judges, Best Composer and Media Choice of Best New Singer were chosen. Winners of the top 10 songs will enter the "Original China Music Seeding Fund Project" and be included in the shortlist of contract artists of A8 Music. The Hong Kong Division Best Original Music Award was snatched by the band Vox, and all entries and the contestants were rated highly by the judging panel including Fang Wanshan.

At the event, it was announced that the movie "If I had three million", to be directed by Cheung Tat Ming and produced by Robert Vicencio in Hong Kong, co-operates with A8 Music and has picked three songs in the contest to use in the movie as the theme song and complementary scores instead of one as previously agreed. The three songs chosen are "Ru Guo Ai", "Jiang Ai Yong Yuan" and "Du Zi Fei Xiang".
