The O2 - Still Top of the World

The O2 - Still Top of the World

LONDON, October 22/PRNewswire/ --

- Pollstar Figures Show the O2 Still World's Number One Arena With Over
1.5 Million Tickets Sold

The O2, the world's number one entertainment destination, has been
crowned the world's most popular arena once more. The latest figures from
Pollstar show The O2 has sold 1,579,993 tickets so far in 2009. The O2 is 76%
ahead of its nearest competitor and has sold almost four times the amount of
tickets of Madison Square Garden.

Despite the tragic loss of Michael Jackson, The O2 is still clearly THE
arena that the world's greatest acts want to play. The rest of the year is
packed, with only one free date on 24th December, so the venue is looking to
smash all previous records and retain the crown as the world's number one
venue.

The rest of the year is full of more first rate acts from Paul McCartney
to Miley Cyrus, from AHA to Muse, from Placebo to Pink.

David Campbell, Chief Executive of AEG Europe, commented: "Michael
Jackson's death was a tragedy that affected fans and the industry across the
world. It saddens me greatly that The O2 and his legion of fans across the
globe did not get to witness his genius. Despite this loss The O2 still
remains the world's number one venue, and these figures are testament to the
all the people who contribute to making it great - the artists, the managers,
the promoters, the staff, and most importantly the public who come to see
their idols."
