SMC Recordings Completes Trade Symbol Change

Independent Hip-Hop and Rap label poised for rapid growth

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SMC Recordings Inc. Independent hip-hop/rap full-service record label SMC Recordings has completed all necessary regulatory requirements for the company's new public trading symbol. The publicly trading organization will trade under the new symbol, SMCE effective immediately. SMC previously was trading under the symbol AECZ.

According to co-founder and CEO, Ralph Tashjian, the request for the new symbol is another step of SMC's efforts to increase public awareness, attract additional capital needed to fund further content acquisition and continue to expand as well as diversify SMC. "With the proper financing, SMC is positioned for explosive growth," explained Tashjian. "We are the model of the future."

Founded in 2005, SMC's range of artist-owned label partners include national heavyweights such as Rakim (of Eric B. and Rakim) and Killer Mike along with a stable of established acts such as Atlanta's Pastor Troy, Messy Marv and The Jacka.

"I'm proud to be in partnership with SMC," said Ron Spaulding, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Fontana Distribution. "We are collaborating to bring the best of Hip Hop to the fans. SMC is delivering great music and Fontana-Universal will explode these artists into the market place. Keep an eye on us... we are coming strong with SMC."

Today, with the company's ability to thrive in the face of a rapidly evolving music industry, SMC stays ahead of the pack by fostering strategic alliances globally, mining emerging revenue streams and relentlessly pursuing quality music, regardless of genre.
