Candid Conversation About Creativity and Recovery with Katey Sagal, Kurt Sutter and Tim Disney, Oct. 13, Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles

CENTER CITY, Minn., Sept. 30 The following is being released by the Hazelden Foundation:

WHAT: It seems so many of America's most celebrated writers, entertainers, artists and musicians battle alcohol and drug addiction or have loved ones who fight to stay clean. To explore the creative forces that influence these professionals' work and their tough roads to recovery, former journalist and Hazelden executive William Cope Moyers is hosting a frank panel discussion called "Chasing the Muse" with some of Hollywood's finest about the process of recovery through creative work outlets.

While the panelists have endured personal struggles, they've also enjoyed successful careers. Event attendees will learn more about the panelists' individual stories, what they've done to overcome addiction, how the battle has impacted their careers and advice for those in the audience facing the same struggles.
