NEW YORK, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's first online music world, Music Mogul.com (www.MusicMogul.com), created by Grammy(TM) Award winning producer, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and video game veteran, Nicholas Longano, has finally selected its first four finalists of their online music competition. The finalists are competing to win a three song demo deal with Rodney Jerkins' Darkchild Productions at Los Angeles' home for music, the House of Blues Sunset Strip on Tuesday, August 18th at 7pm. Celebrity News Correspondent Jason Kennedy of E! Networks will host the finals alongside celebrity judges Aubrey O'Day (Danity Kane), Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild Productions), Danny Wimmer (SVP of A&R, Atlantic Records), and Roy Thomas Baker (multi-platinum music producer known for his work with The Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, Journey and many more).

Since the February 2009 launch, thousands of hopeful rockstars, rappers and vocalists posted their online videos and the Music Mogul.com community selectively voted four finalists to compete live for the first ever Music Mogul.com title, and a demo produced by the world-class team at Darkchild Productions.

Music Mogul.com provides aspiring recording artists of every genre a platform to record and post their live performances to an interactive community of fans, musicians and industry executives. Every three months, four artists with the most votes will be flown out to Los Angeles, where they will be styled and prepared to perform in the finals in front of the panel of celebrity judges. Each final competition performance will then be posted on www.MusicMogul.com for their community to vote and ultimately choose tomorrow's next big star.

Prior to the first highly anticipated finals, Music Mogul.com will also launch an updated version of their already successful website on August 17th, which will feature the beta launch of their new online 3D world. Music Mogul.com's world will allow their community to live the true music industry lifestyle, experienced through their own custom "Muzers". Through "Muzers", users can design their own online Hollywood apartments and use state-of-the-art integrated video technology to host virtual parties, form street teams and fan groups, collaborate with other artists, record and share original music and videos.
