Video Vixen Karrine Steffans Gets Outed by Singer Norwood Young
Singer Norwood Young Shares the Naked Truth About the Oprah Taping and the Sex and Lies of Karrine Steffans In New Documentary 'Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off'
LOS ANGELES, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of the release of the "Vixen Manual," the third book written by self-proclaimed video vixen, Karrine Steffans, director Thomas Gibson releases the highly-anticipated DVD documentary "Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off," narrated by syndicated radio/talk show host Wendy Williams. Norwood Young, a Gold-selling recording artist and reality television celebrity, co-stars in the documentary, offering a rebuttal to the slanderous statements written about him by Steffans in her second book. Because he accompanied Steffans to her talk show appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Young offers some explosive details on Steffans, chatting with the queen of daytime television.
In 2005, Steffans stunned readers and rocked the music industry with her best-selling, tell-all book, "Confessions of a Video Vixen," exposing her reckless lifestyle and sexual trysts with "A-list" celebrities and some of the biggest names in the world of hip hop. The book evoked an array of emotions throughout the music industry from anger to utter disgust. Two years later, Steffans followed up with "The Vixen Diaries" and to Young's surprise, the first chapter was titled, "A Man Named Norwood." "I was the only man in the book that didn't sleep with her, and still got screwed!" he said.
"I was shocked and outraged at the lies and deceitful things that were written about me in a book by someone I thought to be a friend," he explains. "Karrine befriended me only to use my persona of a classic 'Hollywood' lifestyle in order to sell books."
In the documentary, Young talks more about his trip to Chicago for Steffans's taping on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" where she admittedly faked tears during the interview with Oprah in order to gain the viewers' sympathy and cash in on book sales. Young recalls telling Steffans how well he thought the interview went, and how proud he was of her for being vulnerable to a point of tears. According to Young, Steffans said, "You fell for that?" and bragged about waiting for the day that she could use her "Oprah Winfrey cry" that she's been practicing since a little girl!
"Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off" tells the explosive tales of video dancers who exploit themselves and trade sex for more face- and body-time in music videos. Still, the documentary centers on its most famous video girl - that is, Karrine "Superhead" Steffans.
"I merely shared my outrage of being dragged into Karrine's web of money-making lies, designed to hurt and destroy lives," Young said. Others participating in the documentary, revealing the true side of Steffans include Ja Rule, Akon, Big Boi, Tyson Beckford, Ma Barker, Darius McCrary, Bishop Don "Magic" Juan, Kool G. Rap, Porn Star, Mr. Marcus, Juelz Santana, and Pamela Des Barres - just to name a few.
"I believe that everyone who felt compelled to participate in the documentary now understands that when you lay down with dogs, you wake up with fleas," Young said.
Additionally, Young is currently putting the final touches on his book, "Getting Back To My Me," written with Pulitzer Prize winner Karen Hunter. The memoir chronicles his life from sexual and drug abuse to the perils of Hollywood, and eventually finding true happiness. Also, the book includes a compelling chapter about his account and relationship with Steffans.
Pre-sale of the book is slated for September 2009. To learn more, visit www.justnorwoodmusic.com.
