Latin Masters, Line Dancers, B-Boys and Fierce Females Battle for Dance Supremacy on a New Night and Time in Season Four of MTV's 'Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew'

Most Diverse Crew Roster in Series' History Includes First Openly Gay "Voguing" Crew to Compete on the "ABDC" Stage Beginning Sunday, August 9, at 9/8 c

NEW YORK, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Latin masters, line dancers and the latest and greatest in b-boys and fierce females join the ranks of the country's most talented dancers to battle it out for a $100,000 cash prize and dance supremacy in season four of MTV's hit reality dance competition series from Warner Horizon Television, "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew," premiering Sunday, August 9, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. Central. Poised to dominate on a new night and at a new time, "America's Best Dance Crew" will treat viewers to the most diverse season of crews in the show's history, including the first openly gay "voguing" crew to ever take the "America's Best Dance Crew" stage. A clear East Coast vs. West Coast fight to the finish, from the very first episode, each crew will have to focus and summon all their moves and swagger to capture the nation's heart and become "America's Best Dance Crew."

Past winners the JabbaWockeeZ, Super Cr3w and Quest Crew continue to dominate the dance scene by appearing in national campaigns and collaborating with today's hottest talent. These rising stars of dance have performed with Shaquille O'Neal, Ne-Yo and New Kids on the Block, and have appeared around the world from New York City to Guam. Die-hard fans will tune-in every Sunday to see which new crew will join the growing list of the dance industry's future icons to have once graced the "America's Best Dance Crew" stage.

The season four crews of "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" are:

AFROBORIKE (Las Vegas, NV) - Comprised of fiery Puerto Ricans and Cubans, Afroborike is a hot Salsa crew ready to bring their own brand of raw and sexy Latin dancing to America. These dancers are hungry to experience the "American dream" and long to have the freedom of movement they have seen in American music videos.

ARTISTRY IN MOTION (North Hollywood, CA) - An all-female crew trying to break the stereotype of "bootyshakers," they are strong-minded women who bring their own contemporary and original style called "contemp-hop." Proud feminists, this all-girl group knows their energy, force and sex appeal make them more than capable to take on and dominate any all-male crew in their way.

BEAT YA FEET KINGS (Washington, D.C.) - This D.C. crew will take the stage with their very own dance style called "Beatin' Ya Feet." Their performances consist of a unique mix of footwork that could make them unstoppable. Although their style is currently only known around the D.C. area, the Kings believe they have created something the rest of the world should see and catch up to. Featured on "It's Showtime at the Apollo" and an MTV inauguration special, they are slowly making their way into the public eye. Combined with their fresh style, this crew also exudes humility and, when they need it most, a hard energy that could make them champions.

FR3SH (Matawan, NJ) - With a unique blend of jazz and funk, Fr3sh infuses a sense of humor into their choreography and compare themselves to the movie "The Breakfast Club," priding themselves on being rowdy and rebellious. Their mix of sarcasm, humor, cockiness and raw talent could take them all the way to the top.

WE ARE HEROES (Los Angeles, CA) - This group of effervescent young women came together from New York, Idaho and as far as Japan to fulfill their dreams of dancing in Hollywood. Growing up in all corners of the globe, they were inspired by everything from Fred Astaire to Michael Jackson and have honed their dancing into something they call "Glam Style," which they hope is good enough to crown them the first girl crew to win "ABDC."

MASSIVE MONKEES (Seattle, WA) - This Seattle crew have grinded their way through national and international competition at the highest level over the past five years. They have won a number of prestigious titles including B-boy Summit 2000 and the World B-boy Championships at Wembley Arena in London, England. The Monkees are actively involved in their community, working at local centers with children, coaching child sports and teaching b-boy classes. They even have their own holiday, as April 26th was dubbed Seattle's official Massive Monkees Day in 2004. With this much talent and personality, they could be next in the line of b-boy crews to walk away with the $100,000 prize.

RHYTHM CITY (Bronx, NY) - Struggling on the streets of the Bronx with little to no familial support gave Rhythm City no other option than to stick together, and they intend to use their original style from the Bronx -- "the birthplace of hip-hop" -- as a secret weapon. The crew has placed highly in an array of dance competitions including Invasion, Blazin' the Stage, The Main Event, Switzerland's Dance 2 Dance and, most recently, they won first place at Culture Shock EDC. From living in foster homes to surviving abuse, exposure to life on the streets has taken its toll on each member. As a result, crew leader Alonzo Williams created Rhythm City, a nonprofit organization dedicated to getting kids off the streets and involved in dance.

SOUTHERN MOVEMENT (Nashville, TN) - Urban cowboys that hail from the country music capitol of the world, this crew fuses hard-hitting hip-hop choreography with country line dancing. They pride themselves on being able to hang in the club one night and a country bar the next. Referring to their style as "Hick-Hop," this crew plans to bring something unexpected and their main goal is to change the way America views the South and its residents.

VOGUE EVOLUTION (New York, NY) - The first openly gay crew to ever compete on the "ABDC" stage, the five members of Vogue Evolution are out, proud and determined to live their lives the way they want to. Their distinctive "vogue" style of dance mixed with hip hop makes this crew unique, along with working to educate others on AIDS/HIV awareness. They hope to touch everyone watching with their outspoken flare.

To kick off another season and tide fans over until they can get more of the electrifying routines they love, Randy Jackson will count down the best crew performances from seasons past in the 60-minute MTV clip special "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew Top 10 Performances of All Time" on August 2 at 9p.m. ET/PT. Coming off of the most physically demanding season in the show's history, the stakes will be higher than ever for nine all-new crews as their challenges go global. Each crew will be forced to step outside their choreography comfort zones to infuse their urban sensibilities with some of the world's most popular dance styles. With previous appearances and performances by artists such as Missy Elliott and Flo Rida and full episodes themed to the videos of music's hottest stars like, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears, season four is sure to deliver more of the incredible choreography and performances that keep a national audience on the edge of their seats.

The season three finale of "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" served the cable competition and ranked as the #1 cable telecast of the week among P12-34 and averaged over 3.4 million viewers (P2+). Throughout the season, the series consistently ranked #1 in its time period (Thursday 10-11 p.m.) among Persons 12-34, versus all of cable. For the season, the series also reached over 72.4 million total viewers (P2+) on MTV with 33.5 million in the Persons 12-34 demo.

"Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" is hosted by Mario Lopez and shot on location in Los Angeles as dance crews of five to seven members perform their hottest moves for dance supremacy and a $100,000 cash prize. Every performance-themed episode gives insight into the crews' emotion, spirit and inspiration as they step up to the challenge and showcase their innovative choreography and skills. Viewers from around the country choose their favorite crews via text messaging and online voting (http://dancecrew.mtv.com/). The two crews with the least number of votes will be up for elimination with the judges -- JC Chasez, Lil Mama and Shane Sparks -- making the final call on which crew will be sent home. Correspondent Layla Kayleigh covers all the backstage reactions as one crew is eliminated each week, ultimately revealing the nation's best dance crew.

"Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" is executive produced by "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, Joel Gallen (Tenth Planet Productions), Hip Hop International's Howard Schwartz and Karen Schwartz (the creators of the USA & World Hip Hop Dance Championships), Rob Lee (Bayonne Entertainment), Harriet Sternberg and Abe Hoch (both of Dream Merchant 21 Entertainment) and Josh Greenberg. Craig Erwich, Brooke Karzen and Drew Tappon are the executives overseeing the project for Warner Horizon Television ("The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette," "High School Reunion," "Here Come the Newlyweds"). Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley and Lauren Dolgen are the executives overseeing the project for MTV.
