Emily Osment Signs With Wind-Up Records

Actress, Singer, Songwriter To Release First Album In 2010

NEW YORK, July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Emily Osment, one of the stars of TV's "Hannah Montana," has signed with Wind-Up Records. The 17 year old actress/ singer /songwriter, who was just nominated for two "Teen Choice" awards, has already begun recording her first album, for which she co-wrote all the songs. The album has a planned 2010 release.

Edward Vetri, President of Wind-Up Records, says of the signing "We have been closely following Emily's music career, through music promoted in films and on television. After meeting her and listening to her demos, it was very clear that she is extremely passionate about her music, is a talented songwriter and has a certain edge to her vocals that will distinguish her from her contemporaries. We are very excited to be in a 360 music partnership with Emily and look forward to a long and successful music career."

Emily shot a video this month for the song "All The Way Up," which she co-wrote with Max Collins and Tony Fagenson from the band Eve 6. Emily's friends from the band Push Play joined her in the video, which will be released this summer.

"I am so excited I am getting the chance to finally share my music with everyone" Emily says. "I have been playing guitar and writing songs since I was little so it seems like this album has been in process for years. The opportunities and amazing people I have been so fortunate to work with have literally been a dream come true. I can't wait for all of my very patient fans to hear the music that's been such a huge part of my life for the past two years."

Although this is Emily's first album, in 2008 the budding vocalist recorded the song "I Don't Think About It" for the film "The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It", in which she also starred. The song was number one for 9 weeks on Radio Disney and to this date has sold more than 300,000 downloads.
