Lady Gaga Makes Top 40 Radio History
SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Lady Gaga has become only the third artist in the history of Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart to snag three #1 songs from a debut album. Her third single, "LoveGame," climbs to the top spot this week, after her first two singles, "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" both reached the pole position earlier this year. She joins Ace of Base and Avril Lavigne in the Billboard "Hat-Trick Debut Club."
Lady Gaga released her debut album, The Fame, (Streamline/Interscope Records) late last year, and since then, she has conquered the globe. Her singles have reached #1 in 15 countries, internationally she has sold more than 20 million digital singles, and the album has sold over three million copies worldwide.
Lady Gaga will return to the U.S. this fall on a nationwide tour with Kanye West.
