Tom Mackay Promoted to Executive Vice President, A&R, Universal Republic Records

NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Republic Records has promoted Tom Mackay to Executive Vice President of A&R, it was announced today by Monte Lipman, President and CEO of Universal Republic Records and Avery Lipman, Co-President & COO, Universal Republic Records. Formerly, he served as Senior Vice President of A&R for the label.

In this expanded role, Mr. Mackay will be responsible for securing and cultivating new talent in all genres of music for the label. Mr. Mackay will continue to be based in New York City and will report directly to Monte and Avery Lipman.

Mr. Mackay began his A&R career at Universal Records, serving as Vice President of the department. He has worked with such artists as 3 Doors Down, Hinder, Erin McCarley, Eli Young Band and Steel Panther. Mr. Mackay also served as A&R Consultant for Moby's 2005 critically acclaimed release, "Hotel."
