Leading Direct Response Marketer Guthy-Renker Makes $2 Million Equity Investment in CyberDefender

CyberDefender Will Utilize Proceeds For TV Commercials And Other Growth Mandated Infrastructure Improvements

LOS ANGELES, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CyberDefender Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: CYDE) , an award-winning provider of PC security, Antispyware/ Antivirus Software, PC Optimization, PC Support, and Identity Theft Prevention solutions, announced today it has sold 1,142,860 shares of CyberDefender restricted common stock to GR Match, LLC ("GR Match"), an affiliate of media giant Guthy-Renker and extended until June 1, 2011 the term of the Media and Marketing Services Agreement between CyberDefender and GR Match announced in March of this year. Of the total proceeds from the sale of common stock to GR Match, CyberDefender will use $400,000 for the creation and production by Guthy-Renker of CyberDefender television commercials, and plans to use the balance for a variety of growth related corporate investments including improved customer service, an enhanced ecommerce platform and the hiring of new key staff.
