Jeff Pryor Makes MGM Worldwide Television a New Priority
LOS ANGELES, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, Jeff Pryor has resigned his post at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM). Pryor returns to head Priority PR, a full service global film and television marketing and publicity agency, which he founded in 1990, bringing on MGM as a client.
Since leaving his post in April, Pryor has focused on growing Priority PR's Asia portfolio, having recently completed marketing/publicity assignments for several Asian films at the Cannes Film Festival.
Priority PR will represent MGM's expanding television and digital media businesses. Pryor is well versed in the studio's interests in worldwide television and production, international and domestic channels and new media, and will handle publicity for these units through Priority PR.
In addition to MGM Worldwide Television, Priority PR handles international publicity campaigns for a number of key global media companies as well as a collection of independent production, distribution and broadcast design companies, which it represents.
Priority PR specializes in creating and executing publicity and marketing campaigns for the motion picture, television, home entertainment and new media areas. Kristien Brada-Thompson, As Vice President, Managing Director USA, heads the firm's Los Angeles office and day-to-day operations, while Europe-based Marylou Johnston oversees Priority's international publicity and event planning, as Vice President, Managing Director, Global.
Pryor originally formed the agency in 1990 as Pryor & Associates, changing its name to Priority PR in 2005, shortly before joining MGM.
Since its formation, the agency has supported marketing initiatives and global publicity for SBS Broadcasting, where Pryor first worked with MGM's chairman Harry Sloan, Sesame Workshop, Sony Pictures Television International, and media entrepreneur Haim Saban, among others. During the past 19 years, Pryor has devised publicity, marketing and promotional campaigns for over 150 companies and television shows, and has been instrumental in the launch of some 30 channels around the world, most notably the National Geographic Channel, and most recently, the MGM HD channel.
