America's Away From Home Television Network Receives Its 1st U.S. Patent & Signs Strategic Media Agreements to Support Expansion & Growth

NEW YORK, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- TargetCast Networks, Inc. (TCN), America's Away From Home Television Network, today announces the receipt of its 1st U.S. Patent and the signing of a strategic partner agreement with OnSite Sports LLC and Rivals Media LLC to develop SportScape, a national network for independent sports bars and restaurants. The company continues the national expansion of its casual dining network in leading national and regional chain restaurants, currently reaching 1.6M viewers weekly according to Nielsen Media Research.

The patent relates to the method for combining a data signal with a video signal and displaying the combined signal on a television or other display screen. TCN developed the breakthrough technology that enables venue operators to create and post their own branded messages directly on TV screens their bar and restaurant customers are already watching. These 15-second venue promotional spots alternate with national and local ads approximately every two minutes delivering a Nielsen Measured audience with exceptional advertising recall and purchase influence scores.

TCN has also entered into an agreement with sports bar network provider OnSite Sports LLC to support its development of the SportScape network. Rivals Media LLC (Des Moines, IA), a national group of amusement and music distributors to over 100,000 venues, is responsible for acquiring, installing and servicing the venues for the SportScape network.

Together, these three companies are developing the sports bar segment, with TargetCast Networks leading the advertising sales and marketing efforts as well as providing its patented technology platform to enable the network.

The SportScape network installations are currently underway. SportScape plans a significant footprint in the key football markets beginning in Q-3 2009 and continuing throughout the balance of the year to include the top U.S. media markets.

TCN integrates advertising, branded content and mobile marketing to reach viewers in restaurants who are same-excursion shoppers to grocery, mass, apparel, drug and entertainment retailers. "TCN's unique ability to engage real television viewers watching real sports, entertainment, and news programming, while they are away from their homes and 'watching with their wallets out', is a powerful opportunity for a wide range of marketers to reach, influence, and measure results," according to Jerry Hall, President and CEO of the San Ramon, California company.
