SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Red Bull Music Academy is now accepting applications for the 2010 London workshop. The world's up and coming producers, instrumentalists, vocalists and DJs are invited to apply for a chance to secure one of 60 coveted spots for this unique music scholarship program. Red Bull Music Academy is a free, two-week emersion course where musicians of all backgrounds, influences and styles come from different countries to collaborate, create and cultivate new sounds with one another. The Academy is divided into two terms. Participants will participate in one term. Term 1 will be held February 7 - February 19, 2010; while term 2 will be held February 28 - March 12, 2010. Applications can be downloaded at www.redbullmusicacademy.com and must be postmarked no later than July 27, 2009. Applicants will be notified of acceptance via email by October 12, 2009.

The Red Bull Music Academy is an annual musical workshop that travels the world landing in a different interesting location every year. For over ten years, the Red Bull Music Academy has been held in places such as Berlin, Dublin, New York, Sao Paulo, Cape Town, Rome, Seattle, Melbourne, Toronto and Barcelona. The Red Bull Music Academy also curates stages at the world's top festivals, one example is Movement: Detroit's Electronic Music Festival. This year the stage will house acts including Red Bull Music Academy alumni Flying Lotus, and past Academy lecturer and Dub-Step icon Benga. Additional performances from Afrika Bambaattaa, Bassnectar, Z-Trip and RJD2 will shine on the Red Bull Music Academy stage over the three-day festival.
