Rock Boot Camp(SM) partners with Greensboro Guitar Summer Workshop, brings exciting music program to North Carolina
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Fueled by the Guitar Hero phenomenon, the music industry is experiencing a fresh surge of youngsters signing up for music lessons. For those who want to get serious about music, there is now a way to experience the life of a rock n' roll star and take their playing to the next level in just a few days.
Rock Boot Camp(SM) is teaming up with The Greensboro Guitar Summer Workshop for an amazing week of music education at the Greensboro Cultural Center June 19-26. Rock Boot Camp(SM) kicks off the Workshop with an action-packed weekend during which musicians 13 and up can hone their skills on guitar, bass and drums by forming a band with fellow musicians and performing a live concert to showcase their new skills. They also learn about the industry from world-class professional musicians, demo gear and learn about writing and recording music. A DVD of the final concert is included in the $299 tuition. Students who sign up for Rock Boot Camp(SM) will get a 40% discount off the cost of the Workshop.
On opening night, students and their families attend a live rock concert performed by the guest artists who are teaching at Rock Boot Camp(SM), including Bill "The Buddha" Dickens on bass, who has performed with Stevie Wonder, Victor Wooten, Mary J. Blige and Janet Jackson; Bobby Rock, drummer for Gary Hoey, Carnival of Souls, Vinnie Vincent Invasion and many others; and Neil Zaza on guitar.
