Cox Hosts 'Boys and Girls Clubs/Cox Charities Night' at UniverSoul Circus on June 12 at 4 p.m.

~Circus preview opportunities available Saturday, May 23, at Greenbrier and Military Circle Malls~

CHESAPEAKE, Va., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications of Hampton Roads and the UniverSoul Circus have teamed up to create a special performance to benefit Cox Charities Hampton Roads. UniverSoul Circus is donating $2.00 for every ticket sold for its Friday, June 12, 4:00 p.m. show to Cox Charities Hampton Roads. All tickets for the special show are $12.00.

To help highlight the effort, UniverSoul Circus talent made an early visit to Hampton Roads on Saturday, May 23 to promote the special performance. Several performers displayed their extraordinary talents at Greenbrier Shopping Mall in Chesapeake and the Gallery at Military Circle Mall in Norfolk at 3 p.m.

Ben Johnson, Operations Manager for the UniverSoul Circus, said, "We are excited about this partner opportunity in support of Cox Charities. Our performers are from around the world, and we hope kids of all ages will enjoy the show." Talent that visited Hampton Roads included:

-- Onionhead the Clown
-- Hebei Foot Jugglers from Hebei, China: Two female performers will
juggle and spin tables and vases with their feet. They are Ping Chen
and Lingling Ma. Their interpreter is Shanshan "Sofie" Zhoa.
-- Abyssinian Jugglers from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: Three male performers
will juggle bowling pins, balls, and more at amazing speeds. They are
Nebiyu Belguda, Kiflom Nrae and Solomon Gebretsadik.

-- Twisted Soul from Conakry, Guinea: Two contortionists will twist their
bodies into unimaginable positions. They are Mohamed Soumah and
Mariama Conte.
