"A lot of our fans are also fans of WFAN," said Wonder Mike, original member of Sugarhill, "so when they called and asked us to be on we were DELIGHT-ed. We're big sports fans too and listen to WFAN so what better place to be to kick off our anniversary?" Master Gee of Sugarhill added, "There is so much going on this year for our anniversary, including our new TV show 4 days a week on UBA-TV, a new tour and a 30th anniversary version of Rappers Delight with special guest stars, we just couldn't pass up the chance to tell our fans on The FAN. We'll be announcing more very shortly including the guest stars on our new recording and upcoming live dates." According to Wonder Mike, "Our fans now also get to see us 4 days a week on our own TV show, 'Raw Sugar' on UBA-TV, the ultimate in internet TV. They can find us Monday through Thursday at www.ubatv.com and find out what's up with the Original Sugarhill Gang."

About the Sugarhill Gang

Michael Wright (pka Wonder Mike) and Guy O'Brien (pka Master Gee) are two of the original three members of the Sugarhill Gang. Their first hit was "Rapper's Delight", which went on to be the highest selling 12-inch single of all time. The Sugarhill Gang went on to release such other hits as "Apache", "8th Wonder" and "Living in the Fast Lane". They then left the Sugar Hill Records label and Wonder Mike and Master Gee teamed up with Henry Williams (pka Hendogg) and T Dynasty to take their music to the next level while still pleasing the crowds with their greatest hits on a worldwide basis.
