The Hollywood Reporter Hosts Spotlight on 3-D Film in Hong Kong

With Special 3-D Screenings Including "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience"

LOS ANGELES, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hollywood Reporter will host an unprecedented one and a half days of 3-D screenings in Hong Kong during FILMART and the 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival on March 25 and 26. In addition, on the 25th THR will moderate an in-depth two hour panel on 3-D with leading industry executives as part of the Hong Kong-Asian Film Financing Forum (HAF) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

At HAF, the program will include an industry address by Michael Ellis, President of MPA, Asia Pacific and presentations including "Selling 2D & 3D" presented by Don Savant, Managing Director of IMAX, Asia Pacific, "The 3D Deployment" by Younghoon Lee, CEO MasterImage and a Nielsen White Paper on the topic of 3-D will be presented by Eric Mika, The Hollywood Reporter Publisher and Vice President of the Nielsen Entertainment and Media Group. The program will culminate in a round table discussion that will be open to the public.

The 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival will premiere Dreamworks' "Monsters vs Aliens" with special guest Jeffrey Katzenberg on March 24th and The Hollywood Reporter's 3-D Screening series will feature Disney's "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" and Focus Features' "Coraline," among many other exciting 3-D films beginning March 25th. 3-D Screenings Asia is hosted by the Hollywood Reporter and created in collaboration with Grand Cinemas and MasterImage. All screenings, which are open to the public, will be presented in 3-D by MasterImage and held at the Grand Cinemas, Kowloon-- the most technologically advanced theaters in Hong Kong with over 1700 seats.
