Joe Adventurer Tells His Story in Boulder and Denver

Outdoorsy, Green-Minded, Colorado-Rocky-Mountain Lovers Become Avid Filmmakers

BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- REI and Boulder Digital Arts announce the Spirit of the Outdoors Film Festival which will show local, novice filmmakers' love of the outdoors on April 25, 2009 at REI in Boulder, Colorado. Films of note will show locals who are environmentally conscious, active, energetic, and determined to make a difference in the world.

REI and BDA have joined forces to create a venue for people to tell their stories of what inspires them. It's a community event to inspire people to inspire people. All video submission entries are free and are eligible to win great prizes. All ages are invited to participate in this fun and exciting way to let the world know how great the Boulder/Denver Metropolitan area is. Participants are encouraged to make videos - up to five minutes long - about how they spend time outdoors. The judges for the Spirit of the Outdoors Film Festival are: James Balog, award-winning photographer and filmmaker; David D'Angelo, owner of Serac Adventure Films, and Meryem Ersoz, owner of Red Pine Films.
