Cox Communications Presents 'Cable Reports from the General Assembly'

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2009 Virginia General Assembly session began January 14 and is slated to run through the month of February. During the session, Hampton Roads state legislators will be appearing in the public affairs show entitled "Cable Reports from the General Assembly."

This effort is a public service provided by the Virginia cable industry. These interviews will be aired on Cox 11.

In the first series of interviews, Hampton Roads viewers will be able to see Senator John C. Miller, who represents District 1; Senator Frank Wagner, who represents District 7; Delegate John A. Cosgrove, who represents the District 78; Delegate Barry Knight, who represents District 81; Delegate Harvey B. Morgan, who represents District 98; Delegate S. Chris Jones who represents District 76; and Delegate Jeion A. Ward, who represents District 92.

They each will discuss legislation that they have introduced, issues relevant to their districts and their constituents, as well as topics of general interest in the 2009 legislative session. Show times on Cox 11 for these legislators to be shown on the "Cable Reports from the General Assembly" are:

"Cable Reports from the General Assembly" is in its 27th year of production. As in past years, the 30-minute cable television programs are taped at the General Assembly Building in the Capitol Studios. Through this program, members of the Virginia House and Senate are provided this unique opportunity to report to their constituents throughout the Commonwealth on cable television.
