ZOOM Music Licensing Program for Videographers Gets Support From INgrooves and Universal Music Enterprises

ZOOM Music Licensing Program for Videographers Gets Support From INgrooves and Universal Music Enterprises

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- INgrooves, the leading digital distribution and marketing company, in association with the Wedding & Event Videographer's Association International (WEVA), announced today that Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) is making thousands of master recordings and compositions available for the ZOOM videographer music licensing program (www.zoomlicense.com).

Songs from UMe's vast catalog of chart-topping classics represent many of the most requested wedding and event songs in history. Now cleared for usage through ZOOM are classics such as "I Want You Back" by Jackson 5, "You Keep Me Hangin' On" by Diana Ross and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" by Marvin Gaye. The ZOOM Music Licensing program also includes songs from EMI Music Publishing, Warner Chappell, Gamble & Huff, Silva Screen, Naxos and K-Tel International.

"We're excited to join the ZOOM program," stated Tom Rowland, Senior Vice President, Film & TV Music, UMe. "Through our agreement via INgrooves, wedding and event videographers will now have easy access to licensing our music, and helping people relive their special moments."

"With thousands of wedding and event videographers waiting for music to be cleared for licensing, UMe's participation is an exciting addition for ZOOM," said WEVA International chairman Roy Chapman. "UMe's colossal catalog represents a major injection of popular music which professional wedding and event videographers and wedding photo montage producers in both the US and Canada can now instantly license."

ZOOM, developed by INgrooves, WEVA and EMI Music Publishing, is a cost-effective and easy-to-use music licensing solution for the videography and photo montage industries. The web-based service allows video and photo professionals based in the US and Canada to search, license and manage music that has been cleared for use in their productions. The ability to legally license the right to synchronize music to images for smaller video productions is an issue that has dogged the industry for many years.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome UMe to the ZOOM license program," explains Robb McDaniels, President & CEO of INgrooves. "These recent music clearances combined with new features such as our a la carte pricing show that we are customizing our offering to meet the needs of the user base."
