Currently Available for Interviews to Discuss Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai, India, and Middle East
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- David Rubin, author of "God, Israel, & Shiloh: Returning To The Land" (http://www.godisraelshiloh.com/) and founder of the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund (http://www.shilohisraelchildren.org/), will speak at the 2009 International Christian Prayer and Action Dinner for Israel on Feb. 9, along with Michael Little, president and chief executive officer of the Christian Broadcasting Network. Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has also been invited as a guest speaker. The event will take place during the National Religious Broadcasters 2009 Convention & Exposition at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.
Rubin is a former victim of and a leading expert on terrorism, specializing in terrorism's effect on children. In 2001, Rubin and his three-year-old son were wounded in a vicious shooting attack. Both survived the ordeal, and upon his recovery, Rubin launched the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund. The organization provides direct aid to orphans and widows, and supports post-trauma treatment programs and hands-on therapeutic learning programs. The organization also funds a number of initiatives for child victims of terrorism, including playgrounds, and summer programs.
Rubin has appeared in special forums and on national and local television and radio programs. Much of his story, as well as his perspective on Israel's road from exile to independence, can be found in his book, "God, Israel, & Shiloh: Returning To The Land," available at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. Rubin speaks from a position of faith, and proposes bold, realistic solutions to counter the forces of terrorism in the Middle East and in the world.
Rubin grew up in the United States. While pursuing a doctorate in education at Columbia University, Rubin also conducted extensive research in Jewish history. He began to explore his biblical roots in depth, leading him to the conclusion that his future was not in the world of American academia, but rather in the hills of Israel as one of the builders of the land that God promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants.
In 1992, Rubin moved to the village of Shiloh, where he subsequently served as its mayor. During his term, he began to develop productive relationships with Christian Zionists, based on mutual respect and the shared belief that all believers in the God of Israel need to work together to achieve his purposes in this world.
Rubin will be in the United States Feb. 1-9 and is available for phone interviews now, and interviews in the Nashville and Atlanta areas Feb. 2-6. To schedule an interview, or for more information, contact Ty Mays at (770) 256-8710 or ty@infinityconcepts.net.
