Update: GolTV to Deliver Live Coverage of Germany vs. England International Friendly Match

Time Change: Match to Start at 2:45 PM EST

MIAMI, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- GolTV, the only live bilingual channel delivering 24/7 soccer, will deliver live coverage for North American soccer fans of the international friendly match between Germany and England on Nov. 19 at 2:45 p.m. EST. The German national team, currently ranked 3rd internationally by FIFA, will meet head-to-head with England, ranked 14, for the first time since Germany defeated England 2-1 in 2007 in London.

"This is one of the most anticipated matches on the international soccer circuit, and we jumped at the opportunity to provide live coverage of what should be another historical competition between England and Germany," said Enzo Francescoli, founder and CEO of GolTV. "As the first full-time all-soccer network, we are committed to providing U.S. soccer fans with the highest-quality action and in-depth coverage of world class match-ups like England versus Germany."

Long-time European rivals, England and Germany share a rich international soccer history dating back to the 19th century. However, the rivalry began to heat up following the 1966 FIFA World Cup when England defeated West Germany 4-2 in a controversial championship match for England's first and only World Cup title. Of the 27 total games played between the two national teams, England leads the rivalry with 14 victories while Germany has 10.

The German national team is one of the most successful international soccer teams, holding three FIFA World Cup titles. For the 2010 FIFA World Cup, only GolTV has exclusive TV rights to all of Germany's qualifying matches, including Germany vs. Lichtenstein, Azerbaijan and Finland. GolTV also holds exclusive North American TV coverage for the Spanish and Italian national teams.
