David Cook to Give Exclusive Performance

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- dick clark productions president Orly Adelson announced today that ABC will broadcast the "2008 American Music Awards Red Carpet Live!" -- a special pre-show that will feature an exclusive early look at the night's top fashions and jewelry, sneak peeks at last minute preparations and rehearsals, as well as sit down interviews with 2008 AMA performers and presenters. "Dancing with the Stars'" Carrie Ann Inaba and "The Bachelor"/"The Bachelorette's" Chris Harrison will host live from the red carpet. Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger will be on hand as the Music Correspondent, "Project Runway" season four winner Christian Siriano will serve as the Fashion Correspondent and High School Musical's Corbin Bleu will be reporting the action from backstage. American Idol winner David Cook will perform hits from the red carpet. "2008 American Music Awards Red Carpet Live!" will broadcast on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23 (7:00- 8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC, immediately followed by the 36th annual AMAs.
