NEP Broadcasting Names Michael Fernander President and General Manager of Its Supershooters Division
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- NEP Broadcasting, the premier provider of broadcasting facilities, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Fernander as President and General Manager of their Supershooters Division.
Mr. Fernander joins NEP from GE, where he has held several key roles in divisions world-wide; most recently serving as Managing Director at GE Healthcare Financial Services. He joined GE in 1995 as a Market Development Specialist for GE Plastics where he was able to grow significant market share and become the industry leader in several key segments. Later, as Strategic Marketing Director for GE Commercial Finance, Mr. Fernander worked to increase income and assets in their Western European divisions by over fifty percent. During his tenure, he also achieved the level of Six Sigma Master Black Belt by directing the implementation of improved sales and marketing business practices throughout the company. Prior to GE, Mr. Fernander worked with Armstrong World Industries as an Industrial Engineer and Production Manager.
In his new role as President and General Manager of NEP Supershooters, Mr. Fernander will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Nation's largest fleet of Mobile Units and a staff of over 300 as they cover thousands of broadcast events each year for major networks and top production companies across the country and around the globe. Known as an industry leader, NEP provides broadcast facilities and technical support for some of the most-watched television events in the country, such as: the Super Bowl, Olympics, major entertainment award shows, Masters, and major sporting events on all broadcast networks. Mr. Fernander will report to NEP Broadcasting CEO, Lou Borrelli.
