BETHPAGE, N.Y., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE:CVC) today announced the launch of Bollywood Hits On Demand as the company's first international subscription video on demand (SVOD) service for iO TV digital cable customers. Bollywood Hits On Demand, available through the iO user interface or on Channel 241, gives cable customers unlimited access to a variety of South Asian films and music videos, and includes the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind.
Bollywood Hits On Demand features more than 25 movies each month, including both classics and recent blockbusters. In addition, more than 50 Bollywood music videos are available each month. In November highlight films on Bollywood Hits On Demand will include the recent blockbuster Drona, direct from its U.S. theatrical release and C Kkompany, along with all-time favorites from Devdas to Mr. India.

With more than 2.8 million iO TV customers, more than 90 percent of Cablevision's cable customers are iO TV digital cable customers, the highest digital penetration in the nation. iO TV offers customers access to up to 390 channels, including 53 premium movie channels, 48 channels of commercial-free digital music, more than 4,000 titles available on demand at all times, an interactive programming guide, 65 high-definition programming services and groundbreaking interactive television applications including News 12 Interactive.
Bollywood Hits on Demand will be available for $9.95 per month to all Broadcast Basic customers and above who have a digital cable set-top box. Customers interested in subscribing to Bollywood Hits on Demand can access the channel via Channel 241 or from the Optimum Service Upgrade Portal on channel 900.
