CBeebies Set to Enchant Spanish-Speaking Children Across the United States

MIAMI, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- With the launch of CBeebies the BBC will bring the best of children's television to Spanish-speaking preschoolers from November 19. The BBC's first Hispanic channel in the U.S., will be available to all subscribers of DISH Network's DishLATINO and DishMEXICO packages on Channel 848.

Designed specifically for pre-school children, the global hit channel comes from the BBC, a world-renowned producer of top quality children's programming. CBeebies mixes live-action, puppetry, animation and storytelling to provide a unique schedule designed to aid in the social, emotional and personal development of young children and to encourage 'learning through play' within a consistently safe environment.

Focussing on these values, CBeebies will premiere new programs such as Dibujemos con Squiglet, which promotes creativity and imagination, Roly Mo, an active learning show with a focus on story-telling, Tommy Zoom, an animation tackling everyday issues, such as the environment, and Boogie Beebies, an energetic show encouraging children to get up and dance! Leading the schedule will be El Jardin de los Suenos (In the Night Garden), the eagerly anticipated next title to come from the makers of global phenomenon Teletubbies.

El Jardin de los Suenos has already captured the hearts of millions of children across the world, with the program now being available in 24 countries. Described as an interpretation of a nursery rhyme picture book, the enchanting show is about a place that exists between waking and sleeping in a child's imagination and has a deliberately literary tone. Like all good stories, El Jardin de los Suenos takes children on an imaginative journey with words, rhymes and music carrying the viewer through a happy world of loveable characters who care for each other in spite of the substantial differences in their individual sizes.

El Jardin de los Suenos is filmed in a real woodland setting and makes use of the latest technical innovations in live character costume technology and CG animation, weaving them together within a stunning natural setting to create a compelling and fully immersive experience for young viewers.
