Army Major Blasts Bond as "Unpatriotic"

Army Major Blasts Bond as "Unpatriotic"

LONDON, October 29/PRNewswire/ --

A former Army major who is now one of the country's leading tailors has
slammed the producers of the new Bond film as "breathtakingly unpatriotic."

Tony Lutwyche, a bespoke tailor based in Soho, London, accused those
behind Quantum of Solace as having "reduced a treasured English icon to a
mere clotheshorse for American tailoring."

Star Daniel Craig appears in the film dressed by American designer Tom
Ford.

"Bond is lauded the world over as the quintessential Englishman. At a
time when we should be promoting home grown business and all that is good
about this country, it is a slap in the face that James Bond of all people
should turn his back on English tailoring talent. He'll be drinking Jack
Daniels next!" said Mr Lutwyche.

"For once, can't we remain true to our national roots and decline the
opportunity to make easy money by selling our traditions short," said Mr
Lutwyche, referring to the massive amounts of cash the Bond producers have
made from endorsements and sponsorship.

Mr Lutwyche owns a Soho-based tailoring business with a prestigious
client list ranging from City high-fliers, titled families, celebrities and
sportsmen. He has made suits for Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Cullum, Ricky Hatton
and England rugby wing Tom Voyce and is the official tailor to the England
polo team.
