Ticketmaster's TicketWeb Powers Ticketing for Brand New Venue matter at The O2
LONDON, September 19/PRNewswire/ -- Ticketmaster's (NASDAQ:TKTM) TicketWeb, the UK's leading self-service,
fully functioned box office service, has been chosen by matter, London's
newest state of the art club to power ticketing for the 2,600 capacity venue
at London's O2 Arena, which has been created by the people behind Fabric.
Ticketweb, is proud to announce a multi-year deal with new
venue matter, a ground breaking and unique, purpose built space opening this
September designed to offer an advanced new proposition for both live music
and club nights in London. TicketWeb is the preferred ticketing supplier,
providing a client-branded, online booking service to customers from
matterlondon.com, a bespoke, 24hr booking and information line, TicketFast(R)
ticketing, and real time access control with AccessManager(R).
TicketWeb provides venues and promoters with market leading
technologies and innovative forward thinking ticketing solutions. TicketWeb
is uniquely positioned to provide matter with a range of bespoke ticketing
solutions across a variety of genres and events with differing market demands
and audience profiles.
Dan Coshan, Group Operations Director, Fabric & matter, said,
"Having worked alongside TicketWeb for over 9 years at Fabric, we were
confident that they offered the right audience profile with which to market
events across the increasingly blurred genre lines of clubs, dance and live
music. We believe the experience, expertise and enthusiasm of the TicketWeb
team and the technologies available to be second to none in the UK market."
With AccessManager(R), TicketWeb's venue access and ticket
authentication system, matter will be able to coordinate all of their
ticketing services. The system scans each ticket's unique barcode, validating
tickets in real-time, granting entry and deterring counterfeiters by
identifying invalid tickets and denying access.
The AccessManager(R) system will allow matter to offer
TicketFast(R), TicketWeb's print at home ticketing solution. TicketFast(R) is
a quick and convenient way to receive tickets allowing customers to download
and print their own tickets at home immediately after purchase, rather than
waiting for them to be posted or queuing at the box office. Each ticket has a
unique barcode for security, which is scanned at the venue by front of house
staff using a hand held scanner linked to the "real time" sales data of the
event. TicketFast(R) will maximise the opportunity for consumers to purchase
tickets on the day of the event providing greater flexibility and increased
sale opportunities for matter.
Chris Edmonds, Managing Director of TicketWeb and
Ticketmaster, "We are delighted to have extended our relationship with Fabric
in their new venture matter. We will support matter in delivering excellence
in every aspect of ticketing and the implementation of customer focused
technologies, reliable fulfilment and customer service support will be
integral to our approach."
